I'm a spinning! 621 hairpin bends. That's what we got up to today. You can imagine how dizzy we all feel. We drove the Road to Hana here in Maui. It sounds a little pilgramish doesn't' it? It certainly felt it after 42 miles of those bends and 56 one-way bridges. The Road to Hana was a reminder today of the importance of the journey and not the destination. Hana is not what I'd call a destination to get excited about. You certainly don't take on those twists and turns just to go to Hana.  It was about the surprises along the way: stunning views across the ocean and behind to the slopes of the volcano, endless waterfalls and swimming holes and lush waterfalls. It was also a reminder to me to become better prepared and to not push kids too far in an effort to see as much as you can. They were well and truly over those twists on the way back. Kalyra requested that Daddy stop turning so much and Savannah's car sickness woes led her to act out and throw the water bottle. Hey, it's not always paradise on the travel road, but we sure love up, downs and twists of the journey. Sort of. Everyone is passed out asleep now and I think it's time I joined them. We do really love Maui and the rest of Hawaii! Aloha, Caz P.S. Talk about being all bent and twisted. My time zones are a mess now we're in Hawaii, so you are receiving the email a day late... I think. This could be a more permanent switch now since I've moved back in time. [Click to view this email online.]( --------------------------------------------------------------- BLOG & COMMUNITY --------------------------------------------------------------- Does travel have to stop once you have kids?
