The week that was We've got high speed internet again! It's incredible how much we've come to rely on internet, not just for work but for everyday things like finding recipes, workout routines, travel research, map directions and of course chilling out on the couch of a night with a good Netflix series. I hate relying on it so much, but it sure makes life easier. And it makes my life so much more difficult without it. I'm now even more behind with work and I'm so overwhelmed that I don't even know where to start. So I started with writing to you! The joy I get from that may help the wheels start turning. This has been one fun yet crazy week. We finished up California by the redwoods at a beautiful campsite in the forest by a river. Wait to you see the video of us trying to cross a swiftly moving and quite deep river to get to the beach on the other side. It was hilarious and looked like zombies rising out of the river for the apocalypse. We'll be talking about that one for years to come. When it was time to pull Goldie out of the site for our next destination we realized she had a flat tire. The Beast only got one a few weeks ago and so our travel trailer did not want to miss out. Thanks to our friend Jake for changing it faster than I've ever seen even a tire on a little car get changed. We made it to Oregon the other day and area excited to be in the PNW or the next two months. Share with us your tips. Yesterday, we spent almost all day cruising down the Rogue River in Oregon in a jet boat in stunning wild scenery. About two hours of the journey involved ripping over rapids, getting soaked and doing 360 spins. All you could hear were the kids screams above the engines. They had a blast!! Then today we kind of took a wrong path on the way to our boondocking spot and ended up on a tiny one way road. We thought we were in major trouble and would be spending the next couple of hours trying to reverse out. Thankfully we found a very small clearing and Craig expertly managed a very tight 355 point turn which put the back half of Goldie deep into a small gap in the forest. It ripped off part of her side paneling and at one stage I thought she was going to tip over and fall on top of me as I was filming. I tell ya. You are never short of adventures when you travel in an RV. I caught that one on video for you too. As long as it all ends up with a story to tell and a memory to cherish, it's all okay! Caz P.S. I've got to stop longing to return to Raleigh. Each time I do when things get a little tiring and stressful, something goes wrong like a flat tire to kind of push me in the direction I am dreaming of! P.P.S. The weekly wraps are on hold again. I just can't manage them. But we'll be able to publish loads of useful posts on our travels over the next couple of weeks. Be Sure to Do This!
