I feel so much better now We’re back! After nearly two weeks of being separated from Goldie, we have returned and are camped by the Russian River. Life has returned to simplicity and ease – tubing down the river, wine tasting, and campfire chats sans campfire. We’re back traveling with our friends and I am happy to be amongst the green and in the HEAT (for now). And I'll have space and time to update you with my weekly wraps again. I realized how better I cope each day with my regular morning routine and habits. Leaving them to stay in a hotel made things extremely difficult. My body felt sluggish and unhappy that it couldn’t start the day with a tonic lemon water, bullet proof coffee, and a good half hour of exercise. Part of the joy of travel is to experience newness, embrace and appreciate change. There is no other constant and when we understand the value of it, life can be so sweet. However, in order for your psyche to cope with constant change it needs some kind of grip. That's where some kind of routine or habit will help you breeze through the constant changes. Otherwise it’s constantly looking for an anchor and feeling off kilter. My morning routine keeps me in control and powerful. I really don’t like not having the ability to do it each morning. It had me sneaking off to Goldie parked in the parking lot one morning to brew up my coffee, carry our large and heavy high speed blender into the hotel room and blast that thing into my bullet proof! I could only manage that effort for two mornings, but it helped. Think about how you can establish some kind of habit or routine on your travels, even if it is something as simple as going to the same café each morning for toast and coffee. It will give you that anchor to move smoothly and joyfully through your day of discovery. This is why I love travel and I’m sure you do too. You only know what we know and travel extends those borders. It gets you closer to understanding who you really are, what you want, and which lifestyle works best for you. Having a mobile home works best for me. What works best for you? Caroline P.S. Kalyra fell off a hoverboard and split her chin opened. 5 stitches and an ER visit later she is feeling fine and we’re so grateful it wasn’t worse. She is wanting to go back on the hoverboard and upset I’ve blocked it for now!!! How can you protect your kids without helicopter parenting them too much? P.P.S I’m just hoping our short term medical insurance covers the ER trip and we don’t get a HUGE bill in the mail. This is some scary stuff. Be Sure to Do This! Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
