Choose to enjoy it anyway We’ve been pretty good at circumnavigating weather on this road trip. You know we’ve even cancelled a few places because of crazy winter weather. We love to travel flexible (and mostly last minute) to be able to do this. Except when you visit places like Yosemite National Park that are so busy it's better to book ahead. So we booked. And were trapped into the freak winter storm that blew in this past week. Yes. All that snow that we’ve been avoiding caught up with us anyway. What are you meant to do? Cry and bemoan the never-ending rain ands snowflakes or turn it into a grand adventure and have a blast? Well I’ve chosen the later. Yosemite sure is pretty wearing its white blanket with waterfalls gushing down the sides of its sheer granite cliffs. I have never seen so many waterfalls! We even spent an hour hiking through a snowstorm – totally unexpected but a complete thrill. We’re paying close attention to the weather so that when the sun shines we can hit the trails. The sun is not peeking its head out much but when it does it’s even all the more sweater and beautiful. This sure is one special national park. I know summer will come to us eventually. After 5 months in the desert it’s pretty incredible to see all this water and have fun dancing in it. Our week 24 wrap has been published sharing our time in Death Valley + lessons learned and travel costs. [Click here to read it]( Caroline P.S.
