It can be left in a short conversation We had sad news in the travel world this week, Rachel Jones from Hippie in Heels passed away unexpectedly. I cried as soon as I heard. I wasn't great friends with Rachel, but she was someone I had deep admiration and respect for. We've interacted throughout the years purely online, but then last year we met in person at TBEX. She was even sweeter, kinder and more humble in person. I enjoyed our conversations immensely as she shared with me her fears, struggles and a few giggles over common ideas and feelings. She truly was a radiant being. Two things that stand out for me in regards to Rachel: She didn't let fear stop her from living a vivacious life and using that to help others. She has helped thousands live out their travel dreams, especially solo female travelers and those traveling to more challenging destinations like India. Her humility was an absolute breath of fresh air. She was probably the most successful blogger present at TBEX. But you'd never know. She flew under the radar, putting conversations, joy and growth before bragging. She attended my session and sat eagerly scribbling notes and told me how grateful she was for what she learned. What made my heart soar - she even implemented what she learned and would follow up with me via Facebook to tell me the positive results she was experiencing and how excited she was for her community. You don't have to be a lifelong friend of someone's to leave a positive impact. You can do that in every single interaction you have with someone even if it's just for a minute. Bring joy and open heart and the willingness to grow and give through that connection. I'm really sad the world lost Rachel. She was a rare gem. May you remember to live your life vivaciously because there is a time limit and none of us know when that may be. No more delaying your dreams. Let go of all your fears around, and take a step towards it. And do it with a smile. You are worth it. Caroline NEW ON THE BLOG Week 23 Wrap: One of our best adventures yet!
