[Tuttle Twins]( Dear Friend, Iâm guessing you saw me in the news last week. Iâm the 12-year-old boy who was kicked out of class in my school in Colorado because I had a âDonât tread on meâ Gadsden flag patch on my backpack. The vice principal claimed that it was tied to slavery. (Totally false!) And they wouldnât let me come back to class until I removed the patch. You might not know why this story got so many views — over 40 million so far! After I was kicked out of class, I talked with my mom about what to do. I remembered in one of the Tuttle Twins books how the kids got the media involved to fight against some corruption in the government. [The Tuttle Twins helped me stand up for what I believe in. I want to help them ship their pro-American history books to schools and families. Can you chip in $25 or more today?]( [Support Tuttle Twins >>]( I asked my mom if we could drive over to the local TV station. She agreed, so I went up and rang the doorbell of their office. Here I am: Nobody would speak with me. I felt defeated — this was a story that needed to be told! My 1st amendment rights were being violated. Why didnât other people care? Then, my mom decided to reach out to Connor Boyack that night. Heâs the author of the Tuttle Twins books — and Iâm a huge fan. Connor agreed to share the video my mom had recorded of the vice principal, and now it seems like everyone has seen it! Iâm definitely a little more popular at school now, haha. Lots of other kids are now putting Gadsden flag stickers on their lockers. I was interviewed by a lot of people afterward. When I talked with Ben Shapiro, he asked me why I knew so much about politics and American history. Hereâs what I told him: âI give it mainly to Connor Boyack with his Tuttle Twins books. I read those growing up, and that really, really helped me. And now I have a good understanding of America and all sorts of key concepts.â Iâm so happy that Connor shared my story. But whatâs next? Well, one day, I want to run for governor of Colorado. I have to be 30 years old, so that will be in the future. There is something I can do in the meantime. I can use this attention for good. I can pay it forward. I can get other kids to learn the same things Iâve learned so when the time comes up, they can stand up for themselves, too. Connor, my mom, and I have been talking over the past few days about what we can do to use this moment for good. And this email is one of the ideas — we can use my story to encourage people like you to help us. So here is what we are doing: Connor and his team have some new American history books that teach the ideas of freedom and the founding fathers. Theyâre so much better than the textbooks we have to use in school that donât really teach history with any kind of depth. I want more kids to be able to read these history books. So we are launching a fundraiser to raise $25,000 this week, and we will use the money to ship history books to schools across the country — with a heavy focus on my state, Colorado. ð [Will you stand up with me and help me? Iâm super excited by this. Please donate here — every $25 donation covers the cost of the book and shipping to a library or classroom.]( [Donate $25 = 1 Book Distributed >>]( [Donate $50 = 2 Books Distributed >>]( [Donate $100 = 4 Books Distributed >>]( [Donate $200 = 8 Books Distributed >>]( [Donate $500 = 20 Books Distributed >>]( [Donate $1,000 = 40 Books Distributed >>]( Whatâs super cool about this is Connor has a big donor who is passionate about this, and they agreed to double everyoneâs donations! So, letâs say you want to sponsor 5 books for students. That means youâll actually do 10 books when your donation is matched! I knew how to act when my school tried to shut me down because Iâd been learning these ideas for years. Because of the Tuttle Twins, I know what my rights are and how to stand up for them. People like Connor and you have been part of my story, and Iâm grateful. Now, we have to use this moment for good, and I hope youâll stand with me to make a difference. So many other kids need to learn what I have. Itâs education — real, true, good education — that will make sure other kids donât get tread on, too: Letâs use this momentum to find more Jaidens — and get them learning today! Iâm pumped to work with the author of my favorite books to help even more kids learn what I have. [So please support our project today! I have to focus on my school work and my family, but this is a great opportunity for me to make a difference while I get ready for my gubernatorial campaign 18 years from now. I hope you can support us! In the meantime, stay free and stay strong! Jaiden (Gadsden Flag) Paid for by Libertas Institute Your America News
