We can also decide to stay if we can Dear reader, You may have your reason for running away from you

We can also decide to stay if we can [View this email in your browser]( [Logo] Dear reader, You may have your reason for running away from your country of birth. If you are a Nigerian and have served the country through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), you will hear ridiculous reasons graduates give to be reposted. But, it is not the same as Nigerians migrating abroad. The migrants, this time, are looking for greener pastures. Not that the country is devoid of pastures, though. These migrants want better opportunities, working systems, better healthcare, better education, etc. Do you know that an average Nigerian youth wants to leave the country? Well, we hope that was not the reality, but it is. We still have all these young Nigerians at home because they do not have the financial capacity to migrate. Thank God? Ermm, yeah, Thank God. If all of una run comot, who go come be future of Nigeria? Immigration was most of today’s conversation on Twitter - one caused by an Afro-American, Tariq. Tariq Nasheed, an American movie producer, filmmaker, author, thinks there is a group we all ignore when we talk about the black race – Foundational Black Americans. He also argues that immigration does not help this group, and Africans - immigrants - should stay and develop their countries. We learnt six things from that hours-long Twitter Spaces conversation and noted them. [6 things we learnt from Tariq’s Twitter Spaces conversation about immigration]( Earlier, we took a dive into the conversation between Africans and Afro-Americans, using Liberia as the case study. This story focused on the unending distrust between these two groups and how Liberia shows that that phenomenon is going nowhere soon. [#SecureTheTribe: With Liberia in view, Africans and Afro-Americans stand up to each other]( We also listed a couple stories that mattered today. One most prominent is the subsidy story where the Finance Minister responded to NNPC’s request for 3 trillion naira to fund fuel subsidy for 2022. There are other stories too.
