on the cover of Today’s Woman , and Fame Extra magazine comes

[View this email in your browser] The end of Brangelina It is difficult to know how Jennifer Aniston will receive the news of Angelina Jolie filing for divorce from Brad Pitt, but we know how Team Aniston feels. They are engaging in massive doses of schadenfreude right now, following news that Jolie’s filing for divorce came after finding out that Brad was messing around with his co-star on ‘Allied’, Marion Cottilliard. Of course, there are many people who still harbour resentment after the set of ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ proved the end of Brad and Jennifer Aniston’s relationship, and 12 years later, ‘Allied’ appears to have done the same to Brangelina. Karma? The cheating appears to be the final straw however, because according to this, not the only theory going around though, and [this one] says that they were already drifting apart because Jolie has political ambitions and wanted to get more serious with causes close to her heart while TMZ is saying Brad’s [interaction with the children], along with weed and alcohol consumption was the cause, not a ‘third person’. But the cheating angle has much more resonance, for obvious reasons, and that’s the one everybody on the interwebs is running with. There is no chill in the land right now. At all. The absolute best headline though, was [this from London’s City AM]: “London School of Economics lecturer to divorce actor husband”. Epic. And now, for the rest of the news. The Senate resumed from recess today, and they [recommended the sale] of certain national assets to ease the foreign exchange crisis. There is a growing consensus about this, so it is likely to happen sooner than later. Also, Senate President Bukola Saraki gave a speech in which he [said the following]: “Nigeria will always come back stronger. But it will not happen by a slogan! No, it will take positive leadership and unity”. Is that a ‘sub’ at Change Begins With Me? Has the recess taken what was left of ABS’ chill? We observe. The Bookseller On We Survived Boko Haram today, here is the story of [an Igbo book seller’s] experience of Boko Haram. Opinion In our opinion section, Pius Adesanmi is of the view that we must express the [opportunity cost of corruption] in our local languages, in order to effect the necessary societal change. Well worth the read. Our blogs The Film Blog is of the view that with ’93 Days’, [Steve Gukas has finally delivered] the classic everyone has been expecting for a while, [birthday girl Linda Ikeji ‘stuns’] on the cover of Today’s Woman (it was yesterday), and Fame Extra magazine comes [out with a bang], with Toke Makinwa on the cover.
