Also, this year, while you are probably reading this newsletter the team gathers for a week of planning, brainstorming and team building. Our team is spread over 5 countries, Spain, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, with one-in-three of all staff working remotely and the rest spread over two offices. Plugin & Theme News New plugin; YITH Point Of Sale for WooCommerce We have just released the latest flag-ship plugin, YITH Point Of Sale for WooCommerce. This is now fully working and the feedback has been absolutely amazing. We are particularly proud of the functionalities like split payments, save orders (park baskets for later) and the ability to scan and add products. Updated and Enhanced Here are just a few of the many updates we committed in January - All plugins have been updated to be compatible with WooCommerce v3.9, we are now working on updating for v4.0 - YITH Frontend Manager - manage product custom fields - Create custom labels and buttons in YITH Catalog mode - Auto apply points at checkout with YITH Point & Rewards [You can see all the plugin updates here]( Best value ever, to manage your e-commerce store We now have two club memberships; the ‘Starter Plan’ which allows you to install any of our plugins on up to 6 websites, whereas the ‘Pro Plan’ plan can do this on 30 sites. The Pro Plan also enjoys an extra bonus in the form of a video course by Sara Presenti. This is particularly useful if you are the expert consulting your clients, as it contains lots of examples and tips to improve any e-commerce store. New Plugin in development The YITH WooCommerce Store locator, a very useful addition if you have a physical store and need to publish information about this. It will be possible to add your store’s information like address, facilities and map plus many additional features. Level-up your store this season February As usual, February is dominated by Valentine’s Day. Much e-commerce activity surrounds buying presents and gifts. Setting a delivery date, pre-orders are all ways to make the most of the 1-day event by making sure you get many pre-orders. [Read more here>]( March March is one of the busiest months to book summer holidays. Do you take bookings and how do you manage this? Now is the time to check it aligns with your calendar to make sure you are not double booked and make every day or weekend count to maximise occupancy. April Easter is a period of festivity with many stores closing for a few days. Do you manage a physical store or limit online orders during these days? Make sure your stores opening times are correct - YITH Store Locator is the one to look out for. YITH in the Spotlight Each month, we are highlighting a member of the YITH crew. For February, we introduce you to Sara Presenti - our in-house UX and UI designer. In 2019 she returned back to YITH full time, after becoming a mum of two children. Sara is the driving force behind many recent plugin redesigns and the makeover of the website, she really has a wealth of experience. She is predominantly self-taught spanning 15+ years of experience but has recently completed a Masters in UX/UI Design at the Escuela Superior de Diseño in Barcelona. Sara is credited with reducing customer requests and support tickets by 25% through improving the customer services of yithemes.com. She is the expert when it comes to e-commerce user experience and is also the tutor in the new video course ‘How to improve customer services on your e-commerce store’, combining the experiences here at YITH as well as from her time working for various agencies and tackling many projects of all types. Outside of work, Sara loves ‘doing good’ for charity as well as give blood on a regular basis. If she had enough money, Sara would happily open an animal-rescue sanctuary. Sara has been a speaker at WordCamps Pontevedra in 2018 and at Granada, in 2019. In February 2020 you can see her speak at WordCamp Chiclana. WordCamps news WordCamp Zaragoza In January we attended WordCamp Zaragoza in Spain. As usual, this event was superbly organised by dedicated volunteers. Athena: “We set our stand with our famous t-shirts and stickers and it didn’t take too long until the first WordPressers entered UTOPIA!
