Your Giving Tuesday Gift Will TRIPLE ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Your Giving Tuesday Gift Will TRIPLE ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Friend, Joyce's story below breaks my heart. That’s why I’m urging you to please take advantage of our Giving Tuesday triple match before it expires and help us rescue captive and exploited animals around the world. [Please give by midnight tonight and have your gift go 3X as far!]( Sincerely, Liz Quick-Corral Director of Development World Animal Protection US [World Animal Protection]( [Giving Tuesday]( [Image of an elephant with a car in the background.]( [Mundi is Free, but What About Me?]( Dear Friend, My name is Joyce. I was born in Africa more than 40 years ago. When I was just a cub, my herd was slaughtered before my eyes. My friend, Mundi, and I were among a handful of elephants who survived. At the time, I thought we were lucky. I was wrong. Mundi and I were separated. After being sold again and again, she was sent to a zoo in Puerto Rico where she spent almost her entire life in a small enclosure performing tricks for tourists. I also only lived a life of sadness and turmoil, working in the circus and other traveling shows. With the help of generous friends like you, World Animal Protection helped support Mundi’s rescue. Today she is living a quiet and peaceful life at Elephant Refuge North America. She is free to roam and enjoy fresh air, she can play with other elephants and bask in the sun. Mundi is free, but what about me? [Today is Giving Tuesday, and your gift to World Animal Protection will TRIPLE in impact to help rescue, save, and protect more vulnerable animals like Mundi and me from a lifetime of cruelty and exploitation.]( [Today is the very best day to give because today only, your gift will be MATCHED 2:1 up to $15,000!]( [Triple Your Impact]( For the past 13 years, I’ve been trapped at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. Six Flags Great Adventure might be a fun destination for humans, but it’s no place for an elephant like me. More than two million people visit each year. Many take part in the “Wild Safari Drive-Thru Adventure” where loud vehicles and gaping strangers drive past animals like me. Once, a baboon was hit by a car and dragged. Her arm was severed, and she didn’t survive. The New Jersey weather is not the proper climate for an elephant and my enclosure is nowhere near the size of the wild I used to roam. I long for green grass and wide-open spaces. I know you believe wild animals deserve a wild life. [That’s why I’m urging you to please take advantage of the Giving Tuesday TRIPLE match to help World Animal Protection continue their fight to rescue us and provide animals like me safe futures at partner sanctuaries.]( I’m happy for Mundi and I’m grateful for all of the kindhearted people who helped rescue her. But please don’t forget about the rest of us. There are five elephants imprisoned at Six Flags Great Adventure. We deserve better. That’s why World Animal Protection is advocating for our rescue and the permanent closure of this facility—and [TODAY your gift will go 3X as far to help!]( [Can I count on you?]( Sincerely, Joyce, an elephant in need!
