[View in Browser]( [Wood Magazine]( Dear Wood Magazine member: We're always searching for special offers to benefit Wood Magazine members. Here's an offer from one of our partners that we thought might interest you. [Woodpeckers in-DEXABLE]( Woodpeckers in-DEXABLE Combination Square took the woodworking world by storm a couple years ago. Now we’re rounding out the system with the NEW Protractor Head and Centering Head. The in-DEXABLE system takes the basic 140-year old combination square design and kicks it up a notch by adding parallel scribing guides along the blade. To make those scribing guides work, you can lock the heads to the blade precisely at any full-inch mark along the blade (or every 30mm on the metric version). The same indexing system works with the original Combination and Double Square heads and the new Protractor and Centering Heads. [Standard angles for squares and octagons (22-1/2°, 45°, 67-1/2°, and 90°) have a built-in stop]( When your projects get a bit more complicated, and call for angles other than 45° and 90°, the new in-DEXABLE Protractor Head will be a welcome addition to your shop. The smooth-turning protractor can be adjusted to any angle between 0° and 90° both right and left. There’s an alignment pin that indexes to the edge of the blade for fast, accurate registration of standard angles (22.5°, 45°, 67.5° and 90°). All other angles are easily set to the high-contrast laser-engraved scale. Two large locking knobs and an 8" long reference edge give you confidence in your angle layout. [Protractor locked in at 90° makes a handy small T-Square with scribing guides.]( When you’re working straight and square, the Protractor is still a welcome partner in your shop. When locked square, it’s a handy T-square with built-in scribing guides. The Protractor comes standard with an 18" blade. [Locate the center of squares and circles with two quick marks.]( The Centering Head holds the blade at a 45° angle relative to machined 90° surfaces. Marking the two diagonals of a square locates center. It’s even easier to find the center of a circle…just hold the Centering Head against the circle in any two different spots and strike a line across the diameter. The intersection is the dead-center of your circle. [In addition to locating center, the Centering Head makes a great compact scribing tool.]( We didn’t leave the indexing feature out of the Center Finder…it indexes the back of the head, allowing you to scribe just like all the other heads. The Centering Head comes standard with the 6" blade. [All in-DEXABLES include a wall-mountable Rack-It™ to keep your in-DEXABLE in plain sight and read for work.]( You can get either the Centering Head or the Protractor Head in their standard configuration as detailed above. We also offer them as part of a complete standard size set, including Combination Head, Double-Square Head, Protractor Head, Centering Head, 6", 12" and 18" Blades plus Rack-Its to keep them all stored in plain sight and ready for work. If you already own an in-DEXABLE, the new heads are available without a blade. Just visit the “Build Your Own” in-DEXABLE page on our web site. [WATCH THE VIDEO!
