It's Thursday in New York City, where the trash cans inside Claremont Park in the Bronx are overflowing, the pathways are covered with debris and just three workers are tasked with cleaning it all up. Now, several lawmakers want the Parks Department to simply be allowed to [retain the revenue it brings in through events and concessions]( so that 300 parks across the city can get the maintenance they need.
