Partly sunny, with highs in the lower 60s. It's Tuesday morning in New York City, where about 1.2 million households are considered "rent burdened." [A newly released analysis of 2021 city housing data]( finds that 55% of tenants are spending about a third of their earnings to stay in their apartments, while about 34% of New York City tenants are "severely rent burdened" — meaning, they give at least half their income to their landlord. Here's what else is happening: - Gov. Kathy Hochul said she's [traveling to Israel today]( for a "solidarity mission" as the Israel-Hamas war intensifies.
