Welcome to Wednesday in New York City where a woman who had a tree fall on her and her three kids in Central Park [settled a lawsuit with the city and maintenance companies for $5.5 million.]( The incident happened six years ago when a 75-foot-tall tree fell on Anna Monoky as she was walking through the park near 62nd Street with her three young sons. Monoky was left “completely immobilized,” and her children were also injured. Her lawsuit accused the Central Park Conservancy, and companies contracted to maintain the tree, of not properly caring for it, leading to the tree's fall.
