It’s Friday morning in New York City where nearly a third of the [2,500 tenants of one Brooklyn housing complex]( are facing eviction. Since the end of the pandemic eviction moratorium 19 months ago, city marshals have carried out 50 evictions at Flatbush Gardens, with hundreds more residents scrambling to try and make back payments on their rent so they don’t face the same fate. Flatbush Gardens is in an [NYC hotspot area]( where eviction rates are among the highest in the city. Those 50 evictions were part of the more than 10,000 carried out citywide since the end of the moratorium in January 2022. Have you been evicted? Are you facing eviction?
