Before National Parents’ Day, I hope you’ll take a moment to read this: [Make-A-Wish]( [Give Now]( Before National Parents’ Day on Sunday, we’re taking this time to share stories from parents who are impacted by the Make-A-Wish mission. [Help us reach more families with heartfelt wish experiences: Please, donate today to help us reach our $50,000 Parents’ Day goal before Sunday.]( [Donate Now]( Cancer. Heart condition. Seizure disorder. Kidney disease. Nervous system disorder. These are words that no parent ever imagines hearing in the same sentence as their child’s name. But every day, 72 more parents get the news that their child has been diagnosed with a critical illness like one of these. As a mother myself, my heart breaks thinking about drives to school replaced with trips to endure harsh, painful treatments. Or the family dinners replaced with gatherings around a hospital bed. Or the big soccer games and dance recitals replaced with scary surgeries. Watching your child fight for their life – going through chemotherapy, in a hospital bed, unable to play with friends or do what other kids their age can do – is every parent’s worst nightmare come to life. That’s what makes our mission to grant wishes for children with critical illnesses so impactful. A wish experience gives parents the chance to see their child light up with hope and joy in their darkest moments. It gives families the strength they need to keep moving forward in the difficult treatment journey, one day at a time. As we look to National Parents’ Day on Sunday, we’ll be sharing the stories of parents who have experienced the life-changing impact of a wish firsthand – all because of the generosity of caring supporters like you. [And if you’d like to provide more kids and families with the hope and strength of a wish, I hope you’ll make a gift toward our $50,000 goal in their honor today.]( [Make a Gift]( Thank you, Trista Murphy VP of Integrated Fundraising Make-A-Wish America [facebook]( [twitter]( [instagram]( [youtube]( Make-A-Wish Foundation of America 1702 E.
