Stories like Allison’s aren’t possible without you. A wish is so much more than a fun day

Stories like Allison’s aren’t possible without you. [Make-A-Wish]( [Give Now]( [Gifts from this community gave Allison the joy of a wish as she grows up with cancer. But right now, there's another child counting on YOUR gift to make their wish come true: Donate for Waiting Wish Kids.]( A wish is so much more than a fun day – it truly has the power to change kids’ lives as they endure dark, difficult medical journeys. Nine-year-old Allison is proof. One day, Allison’s mom noticed a small mark on her cheek that looked like a bruise – which only became more concerning as the mark grew over time. All of a sudden, Allison’s life was turned upside down. Since she was diagnosed with cancer, she’s had to experience the devastation of relapsing not once, but twice. She’s endured years of aggressive treatments. And she had to spend 100 days in the hospital after a bone marrow transplant. Wish experiences go a long way in supporting a child like Allison’s emotional well-being – giving them strength and hope when they need it most. That’s why medical providers say wishes are a necessary part of a child’s treatment. But we can’t grant these wishes without your help, so we need you to come through with a gift ahead of our fast-approaching fiscal year-end deadline: [Please, will you make a gift now to grant more wishes for kids like Allison who are growing up with critical illnesses? Your donation before our fiscal year comes to a close will make sure we have the funds we’ll need to keep up with the high demand of waiting wishes in the year ahead.]( [Give $50 for Wish Kids Like Allison]( [Give $100 for Wish Kids Like Allison]( [Give $150 for Wish Kids Like Allison]( [Give Another Amount for Wish Kids Like Allison]( During lengthy hospital stays over the years, Allison often found herself overwhelmed with sadness. All she wanted was the freedom to go outside and play, so she wished for a backyard playset. Knowing that her wish would soon come true gave her the much-needed strength and determination to get through those difficult days of her treatment. And when the day finally came for Allison to see her backyard playset for the first time, she couldn't contain her excitement! She immediately ran to start playing on everything from the slide to the swings and so much more. Today, her playset continues to be a source of joy and hope – and it’s given her a crucial piece of her childhood back. Her mom shared that this is the best Allison has felt since her medical journey began. When you give toward our $100,000 fiscal year-end goal, you’ll help make sure we have enough funds to grant more life-changing wishes like Allison’s for the thousands of kids who are currently waiting. Our mission depends entirely on your generosity, so please: [Before time runs out, make a donation to grant more wishes in the year ahead – wishes that have the power to create better health outcomes and better odds of recovery.]( Thank you so much, Becca Blader, Make-A-Wish® [facebook]( [twitter]( [instagram]( [youtube]( Make-A-Wish Foundation of America 1702 E.
