Our November comms round up Hi {NAME}, It’s almost Christmas and we can’t wait to start seeing the increase in engagement and activity come January! For now, keep reading to find out how we engaged with the database last month. November comms campaigns Free read opportunity for basic members On the 5th November, for Bonfire Night, we sent out a Free Read opportunity to all basic members in all networks. This allowed them to read their messages for free between 6pm and midnight. This increased the number of peak members online by 108% and the number of first messages being sent by 150%. Mid-month discount offer This month’s mid-month discount offer took place between the 10th and 13th of November. It contributed to a 43% increase in upgrades and a 105% increase in re-initials. A reminder to play Encounters We sent out a reminder to all networks on the 19th November to encourage all members to play Encounters. The campaign was split by age group to allow for more diverse imagery to be used (with a generic version going to niched sites). We saw a 103% increase in Encounters votes and a 40% increase in matches over the following three days! Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals Between the 24th and 27th of November, we offered all basic members a 40% discount off their membership rate if they upgraded during this period. This contributed to a 43% increase in upgrades during this period and a 94% increase in re-initials. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
