[When Democrats Turn Out] {NAME}, 'Dripping in the blood of Jim Crow.' This is just one of many devastating descriptions of the Georgia GOP's latest round of voter suppression targeting their Black constituents. The GOP's newest ploy to steal the 2022 elections? Getting rid of early voting on Sundays. This clearly and overtly targets Black voters, whose reliance on Sunday voting can be traced back to the Jim Crow era -- Black church congregations provide thousands with transportation and logistical help, as well as protection from intimidation that has plagued Black voters at the polls for centuries. Black voters delivered us Georgia in 2020, and now it's time to fight tooth and nail to protect their voting rights from being restricted as a result -- we all owe them that much. But we're facing a hard fight -- this horrifying legislation is just one of MANY that the GOP is rushing through Georgia's legislature and onto Georgia Governor Brian Kemp's desk -- and we know Kemp, a man who only lost to Stacey Abrams because of mass voter suppression efforts, will have no problem signing these bills into law. We can make sure that doesn't happen. We were successful in electing progressive candidates who promised to defend our voting rights -- but now we need to ensure they follow through on their promises. But right now as we up our fight, we're falling VERY SHORT of our fundraising goals. Fighting voter suppression takes massive resources, and if we don't have the funds -- like today, where we sit $1,267 behind our daily goal as of this writing -- we can't suit up for every fight like we want to. We are a 100% grassroots-funded organization, fueled by YOU. Please {NAME}, it's only because of everything you did in 2020 that we even have a Democratic Senate in the first place -- but right now we need you to not burn out as we ensure the GOP can't suppress any more votes. [We're counting on you to donate now to defend voters across the nation, protect our Senate majority, and ensure Democrats can pass Biden's progressive voting rights agenda for Georgia and the whole country. There's never been a more important time to donate than right now, so please, we're asking you to donate all you can by midnight tonight.]( If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $25]( [DONATE $50]( [DONATE $100]( [DONATE $500]( [DONATE OTHER]( We cannot thank you enough for all you're doing every single day.
