[When Democrats Turn Out] Liz Cheney's no hero of ours, but the GOP response to her vote to impeach Trump sets a dangerous example for the future of the Republican party. First, the Wyoming congresswoman voted to certify Biden's electoral victory. Then, she voted with only nine other Republicans to impeach Trump in the House. And what did Cheney get for breaking free from the Trump cult? Calls for her own impeachment, or at the very least, removal from her leadership positions in the House. No matter who's leading the GOP in Congress, the reality is that they're in charge of the minority party. The nation has spoken, and Democrats are in control of the House, Senate, and White House, and that's not going to change. But it's clear that Republican legislators will fall in line with the Trumpism invading their base -- they care about keeping their seats more than they care about holding Trump accountable and protecting our democracy from future violent threats. We need to neutralize Trump's legacy once and for all so that our democracy doesn't shatter, and we can do that by advocating for progressive policies and organizing now for Democratic victories in 2022 to replace every Trump sycophant in Congress. However, we're running low on the funds we need to do that. That's why we need your help. [{NAME}, we're worried about our democracy. Even with all that Trump has done, he still has a massive amount of support -- and anyone who stands against him is silenced. We can't let this distorted version of democracy stand. Please, will you rush us a contribution to stand with the candidates who will take Trumpism out of Washington in 2022?]( If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $25]( [DONATE $50]( [DONATE $100]( [DONATE $500]( [DONATE OTHER]( This is a high-stakes moment for our country, and we're so glad to have you with us in it.
