5 days until Giving Tuesday, {NAME}! [View in browser]( [World Food Program USA.]( Happy Thanksgiving, {NAME}. Every day, all of us at World Food Program USA are thankful for you! This year, you and thousands of other supporters — connected by the shared belief that no one should go to bed hungry — came together to make a lifesaving difference. We are beyond grateful for the full hearts and meals you made possible. Before the holiday festivities start tomorrow, I want to share how your support ensures people have nutritious meals in places like Rwanda. [A student in Rwanda eating a school meal provided by WFP.]( A student enjoys their locally sourced school lunch in Nyamagabe District, Rwanda. Since 1975, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has worked in Rwanda to provide food assistance to refugees, students, and small-scale farmers and support the government's capacity for national hunger solutions. School meals are an important part of this work, especially because 33% of children under 5 in Rwanda are chronically malnourished. We provide nutritious school meals to over 100,000 students across 140 schools in the country. This school meals program in rural Rwanda is an example of how together, we can improve the nutrition and food security of communities around the world. We couldn't do this work without supporters like you. Thank you for your partnership as we work to reach Zero Hunger. I hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving! With gratitude, [Barron's signature] Barron Segar President and CEO World Food Program USA Our Future Begins With Food. With the support of people like you, we can do good better.
