Tell Congress to keep funding school meals globally. [View in browser]( [World Food Program USA.]( [Students with WFP-provided school meals with text: Support school meals overseas.]( [TAKE ACTION]( {NAME}, Every day, millions of children, around the world, go to school on an empty stomach, making it nearly impossible for them to focus. Research shows school meals improve their attendance, concentration and ability to learn. Right now, 418 million schoolchildren receive school meals globally, but 73 million more still need assistance. That is why we need your support to help erase hunger, supporting kids and their communities through the United Nations World Food Programme's school meals program. The U.N. World Food Programme implements many of its school meals programs around the world through the George McGovern-Robert Dole International Food for Education Program. This back-to-school season, write to your Members of Congress to fully fund the McGovern-Dole program through the FY25 Agriculture Appropriations bill. [TAKE ACTION NOW]( The United States is a leader in the global fight against hunger through international school meals initiatives like the McGovern-Dole Program. This program helps deliver school meals which: - increase school enrollment and retention rates. - improve children's, especially young girls', access to education. - boost children's health and nutrition, which helps them concentrate on their studies. Right now, Congress is making decisions about vital funding for food aid programs like McGovern-Dole. That is why we need your help to make sure there is robust government funding for global school meals. It is crucial for Congress to continue to support our efforts to feed the world's hungriest children through programs like McGovern-Dole. [Please act now and send this letter to your Members of Congress.]( [TAKE ACTION]( Thank you for taking action to support our work and help us erase hunger through programs like McGovern-Dole.
