Fight hunger and the climate crisis this Earth Day. {NAME} â As we celebrate Earth Day today, I am reflecting on this fact: To eliminate hunger, we must help the world's most vulnerable people recover from and adapt to climate extremes. More frequent and intense weather events are disrupting people's livelihoods but we're working tirelessly to help communities prepare for and overcome this devastating new reality. The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is there when climate-related disasters hit to deliver food, help rebuild infrastructure and restore degraded land so people can withstand future extreme weather events.
