Progress is all around us. And when it comes to phones, progress is in our hands and pockets. But are you missing the most profitable parts of the phone evolution? [Wealth Daily logo] A Tech Investment Backed By History [Alexandra Perry Photo] By [Alexandra Perry]( Written Jul. 15, 2018 I’ll never forget my first phone. It was an LG Cosmos 1. And believe it or not, this thing was my world. The keyboard slid out to enable rapid-fire texting. As a teenager powered by a diet of Starbucks Frappuccinos, I transformed this phone into a texting super-device, unleashing at least a text every three seconds. And then the iPhone came along. Everything changed. Gone were the days of Cosmo, the super-texting phone. The world quickly had caught Apple fever. And my family was not immune. When I was in college, my friend convinced me to play hooky and go with him to wait in line for the latest iPhone. We drove to the mall in Orlando, where a massive throng of people had already congregated outside of the Apple store, eyes fixated on Apple's pulsing logo. Today, as a technology writer, I know Apple's logo is actually paying homage to Alan Turing, who laid the foundation for the modern-day computer and ended his life by eating a cyanide-laced apple. But back then, watching all those people, I thought there had to be something biblical about that logo. Perhaps we, like Adam and Eve, couldn't resist a flashy piece of fruit. We waited in that line for hours. It was like Disneyland, but when it's finally time to get on the ride you have to fork over $600 for a cardboard box. And in that box was my first iPhone. Cutting-Edge Technology That Could Make You a Trillionaire This isn’t a “someday” technology... Big companies like Netflix and Google are already using it and have added billions of dollars to their bottom lines. For you and me, this is an opportunity to ride this monster wave of wealth creation. [Let me give you the full details here.]( My sister also got her first iPhone that year. When my dad was preparing to give her the phone, he decided to play a joke and give her my old Cosmos phone instead. She was not amused. In fact, she didn't hold it for three seconds before handing it back. And that is what progress looks like: the next generation rejecting the tools of the previous generation. Old phones become toys for toddlers. Floppy disks become coasters. And the crazy thing is that, when it comes to phones, this kind of progress is just getting started. And a lot more is changing that just the body and design. The wireless networks that allow our phones to operate are also dramatically changing. In fact, in just the last 20 years, the wireless networks that power our phones have gone through not one, not two, but four evolutions. And each time they have done so, it had made investors triple-digit profits. Today, we are in the middle of the world’s fifth wireless network evolution, 5G. And it is going to change the way we communicate and work. It's also a unique profit opportunity for investors, and one proven by history to be profitable. Let me explain. 5G: The Investment Backed by History To understand why 5G is so important, you have to take a step back and look at why each generation of our mobile networks was important. The first commercially automated cellular network (the 1G generation) was launched in Japan by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) in 1979. Within five years, that network had been rolled out to cover most of the country. And that expansion paid off well for investors. The two major cell phone companies at the time — Motorola and AT&T — saw their stocks soar upward by triple digits. And then 2G came along. 2G networks replaced the 1G analog networks with new digital technology. They empowered humans to start texting. You could communicate through apps like WhatsApp that didn't require a high bandwidth. My first phone only needed 2G, and it changed my life. And if you had enough foresight to invest in 2G, it would have changed your life, too. Sprint established itself earlier as a leader when it came to 2G. Following the launch of the world's first 2G networks, Sprint saw its stock surge by over 400% in just five years. And then we rolled toward 3G networks. While 2G was cool, it didn't allow people to stream videos or download files easily. 3G was the network that empowered the world's beloved iPhone. Without it, iPhones would simply be pocket computers. And the companies that helped 3G happen benefited from their innovation. Broadcom, one of the companies that produced the chips that made 5G possible, saw its stock increase by 325%. I think you get my point. Our phones and the technology companies that power them have been generating profits for investors for years. And now we are approaching the next network. 5G will change the way we work, communicate, and even interact in ways unlike any network has before. And that makes it potentially more profitable than the networks that came before it. 1 Tiny Change Could Create Millionaires Take a look at the top corner of your phone screen... It probably reads "4G LTE." Most phones do these days. But soon, your phone will say "5G" there instead. It might seem like a tiny change... But it actually represents what could be the most profitable advancement of the next decade. [Click here for the full story on this game-changing tech.]( Why 5G Could Be More Profitable Than 1G, 2G, and 3G A moment ago, I showed you what each cellular network has done to change our phones. Each of these changes — from texting to streaming video — has changed the way humanity interacts and pushed us toward the future. And for companies, each of these changes has generated incredible profits. Now with 5G we are sitting on the cusp of a change unlike anything we've seen before. Why? Well, 5G networks are not just critical for improving our phones. They are critically needed for a whole fleet of emerging technologies. Let me give you a few examples. 5G networks are needed for humans to adopt the Internet of Things. 5G networks will be low latency and high speed, allowing thousands of machines to communicate. The Internet of Things market is expected to be worth around $267 billion by 2020. And 5G is a crucial tool in making that happen. And then there are autonomous cars. At this point, autonomous cars are coming, and they are coming fast. Some of the biggest companies in the world have started autonomous car divisions, including Google. Autonomous cars need a fast network in order to communicate with each other. 5G is that network. Driverless cars will need to collect at least 1 gigabyte of data a second. This isn't possible on our current 4G networks, and this makes 5G one of the most critical technologies in the self-driving car revolution. All that said, it's easy to see why so many big companies are willing to shell out big bucks to build 5G networks. The profit potential behind a technology that touches multiple other emerging technologies is huge. And now is your opportunity to participate. My colleague and Wealth Daily's technology analyst, Jason Stutman, just released a new report that provides details on three stocks powering the 5G movement. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
