Here's what we're covering this morning: - The seven-day positive test rate for the coronavirus has nearly doubled in the last two weeks, to more than 2.6%. But the number of people getting first doses of the vaccine is outpacing the number of those getting a second shot — perhaps indicating that some people who were reluctant to get a shot before are now rolling up their sleeves. - Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey are calling for a holiday to honor people who have died from COVID-19. The two introduced a resolution yesterday that would designate the first Monday in March as COVID-19 Victims and Survivors Memorial Day. - In Lawrence, the city is planning to bring late night pop-up vaccine clinics to local nightclubs in an effort to reach more young people. They'll also host a series of vaccine block parties this month. - UMass Memorial Health System is the latest health provider in the state to require employees to be vaccinated.
