[WBUR]( April 9, 2021 Good Morning Boston, âï¸ Sunny, with a high near 62. [Cheers]( to the almost weekend. Here's what you need to know this morning: - There are now 77 cities and towns across the state that are listed as high risk for transmission of the coronavirus. That's 22 more than last week, and it makes this the fourth-straight week the list has grown. - In terms of spread in schools, the number of infections among students and school workers is down about 6% from the week before. Officials reported just under 1,000 cases in this week's report. However, the number of infections among students saw a slight uptick. - Starting at 4 p.m. today, Barnstable County will open up registration for a new vaccine clinic in Orleans that will distribute 1,000 doses on April 15. The hope is that it will help Cape Cod as it works to combat a spike in cases in recent weeks, especially ones tied to the variant first identified in Brazil. - ICYMI: The more easily spread coronavirus variant first identified in England last year has now become [the dominant strain]( in the U.S. - We know vaccine "passports" are making headlines in a handful of states. While Gov. Baker said earlier this week that Massachusetts won't be doing that, at least for now, [here's what you need to know about these credentials]( and what some states are using them for. - Some good news for music festival lovers: Both the Newport Folk Festival and the Jazz Festival will be held over two separate three-day periods in July. The events will be showcased in phases with separate tickets, but organizers have not yet shared when tickets go on sale or what the rest of the safety measures will be. P.S.– More than 25% of Massachusetts residents are fully vaccinated against COVID, but there are still plenty more people who need shots and won't be able to start looking until April 19. To help them out, we're collecting your best advice for those still searching for an appointment. Please share what's worked for you by filling out [this super short form!]( — Meagan McGinnes

All her life, Lisa Wong could pick up and move on from racist acts, both experienced and observed.
