Laura Levis suffered a severe asthma attack three years ago this week. She walked herself to CHA Somerville Hospital, but found the door to the emergency room locked and called 911. After a series of systemic failures, help didn't get there in time and Laura died at the age of 34. Laura's husband, Peter DeMarco, first told her story last year in [The Boston Globe]( but today [in an essay for WBUR]( he's talking about the dangers of Peak Week for those with asthma. He wonders: had his wife known about her increased danger of suffering an attack during this specific week, would she have taken different precautions that morning?
