It would also implement rent control — going further than the previous measure by capping rent increases at 5% per year. 3. [Former Environmental Police Chief Sues Over Firing]( James McGinn alleged in April that he repeatedly reported unethical and illegal conduct, but his complaints went ignored by his boss, former state Environmental Secretary Matthew Beaton.
