Also: A guide to sharks around Mass.; free things to do this summer [Donate ❤️]( [View in Browser](  July 3, 2024 ☀️ Today is partly sunny, with a high near 86 and a chance of showers. Good Morning Boston, Each summer, do you find yourself wondering, "What is there to do around here, anyway"? We've been working with the New England News Collaborative to answer that exact question. The result: A series of [day trip guides]( that'll quell boredom and help you discover the hidden magic of New England. What's special about these guides? First, they're written by journalists from NPR stations across the region — bonafide members of the remarkable communities that make up New England's states. Each state guide is organized by region and interest to make planning your next adventure a little easier. From foodies to nature lovers, bookworms and creatives, there's something for everyone to explore. We recommend kicking things off with our guide to [day trips around Massachusetts]( filled with in-the-know recommendations for hikes, bike rides, historic sight-seeing, seafood feasts and unofficial hot dog tours. Then, be sure to read — and bookmark — each of the other states' guides below. P.S. — Maybe you've noticed we're missing a couple of New England states, like New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Those guides will likely be rolling out throughout the summer and fall. In the meantime, check out NHPR's list of [10 things to do this weekend]( and [The Public's Radio]( latest weekly feature on art and music out of Rhode Island.
