[Here’s our source.]( If you’re newer to the markets this idea could be a little abstract. We just explained it to a new kid in the office. Let’s get down to it … For the sake of simplicity, understand that bond yields and bond prices are inversely related. As yields go up, bond prices fall. The BOJ has a system in place that kept yields in a range of 25 basis points on either side of 0%. Which meant as the yield bounced between those levels, so did the price. --------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored [“BUY” ALERT: This Penny Stock Has Potential]( Our system just triggered a “buy” alert based on recent market activity - and we wanted to tell you about it as soon as possible. Truth is, this penny stock has been flying under-the-radar despite its impressive profit potential. Unsubscribing is easy [Privacy Policy/Disclosures]( --------------------------------------------------------------- But last night the BOJ increased that range to 50 basis points. Which means the yield can fluctuate in a greater range. And that translates to a higher possible fluctuation in bond prices. Now, understand that interest rates and bond yields are directly related. As interest rates increase, so do bond yields. And considering the high-interest rates to control inflation … bonds yields are high … so bond prices are low. Increasing the possible yield range raises the possibility of even cheaper bonds, and that’s what caused the most recent market sell-off. Traders are worried their bonds are about to fall in value, so they sold. Make sense? Great. See, that wasn’t so bad. Looking for more Daily Stock News?
