New Data From China It’s not looking pretty. Stock futures dropped after China posted weak economic data. Here’s the full story. A weaker China might sound good for the U.S.A. … but we have to consider China’s size and influence globally. They have the second highest GDP; $17 trillion . And they’re a major trade partner.Number 3 for the U.S. A weak China could have drastic short-term repercussions as the rest of the world picks up the slack. To be clear, the Chinese economy didn’t shrink last quarter. But growth dropped from 4.8% to 0.4%. It’s definitely something to watch out for. And we’ll keep you updated.
