[image]( Hey {NAME}, Join our info-packed [PE Interview Bootcamp]() on Nov 18, 2023 - invest in your career and achieve your PE goals. -Patrick TOP DISCUSSIONS 1) [Dealing with Psycho Analyst Behavior]() - "Why is everyone so passive aggressive here. If this analyst bothers you so much tell him his feet are disgusting and make fun of him. When he makes another bathroom monitoring comment announce on the floor that he has a weird obsession with other men's chitting habits and whether he's projecting any internally confusing thoughts about men's asshole activities. Stuff like that. Don't whine here...call him out." 2) [Having a Really Tough Time in PE]( - "If you’re new you should be laser focus on doing the tasks asked of you in a 100% error free way (obviously fuck ups happen, but limit them and limit their impact). You’re much better off doing the core job / tasks exceedingly well than doing a bunch of extra stuff and having more mistakes in the stuff you were asked to do. Second, the leeway for ‘creative’ stuff is pretty minimal. I’d always check before you do these as it’s often not necessary / appreciated and will be viewed as a bad allocation of time / bad communication..." 3) [Exclusive Deal Intel]() - "Gordon Gekko said it right: the most valuable commodity I know of is information. By that measure, happy to share the wealth. Take this private m&a deal terms reference guide... it draws on data from thousands of private-target transactions..." 4) [How to Move in SWE (and why it isn't all that great)](=) - "The first thing every engineer must start with is what language to learn first. Many will tell you to learn python because it's easy and beginner friendly. Others will tell you to learn C so you can understand what's going on under the hood of your PC. They're both wrong. The language you should learn should be based on what you want to do. .." The Ultimate Program to Land a 6-figure Job in High Finance [image]( Landing an investment banking offer is tough coming from any school – from non-target all the way to the Ivy League. TOP DISCUSSIONS CONTINUED 5) [Best Finance Podcasts You Should Be Listening To]( - "These 10 podcasts should definitely be in your rotation for cramming in some extra knowledge during your commute." 6) [Is there Anything More Useless...?](=) - "Than a VP who habitually doesn't CC you on email chains, requests files from the client, doesn't save them to the drive or upload them to the data room and then proceeds to send you on wild goose chases to find the files again for him? And you have to spend a cumulative hour or two almost every day double and triple checking all of the various VDRs, DropBoxes, email chains, drive folders, etc. for it just to make sure you haven't missed it even though you're 90% certain that it's just him being a shithead..." 7) [The Real “Why Banking” for Associates](=) - "Why do you guys always assume everyone’s end goal is PE? Most of my BB class didn’t recruit PE and wouldn’t consider them failures. My comp over the last few years has been above my peers who went PE. My responsibilities are also less intense and in some cases my hours are better." 8) [How to Fight being Tired](=) - "If you’re tired throughout the morning and day, one thing that helped me was to skip breakfast. This might not make much sense, but eating any type of sugar spikes your blood glucose levels and causes fatigue later. Skipping one meal a day actually has various unrelated health benefits as well. If you do have to eat in the morning, only eat things that have very low sugar like nuts. This will help your energy levels stay more constant over the course of the day." 9) [RX Analyst’s Outlook: A Private Credit Bubble](=) - "After being in the market for 15 years, everybody is always preaching dommsday, and those preacher have missed out on alot opportunity since 2008. The flexiblity of private credit is so much higher than a BSL deal. There were a ton of covlite deals in 2020 yes. But alot of "cov-lame" deals as well..."
