[[CNBC / Rohan Goswami](] Monday, the SEC filed a civil lawsuit accusing Binance, the world’s top cryptocurrency exchange, and its billionaire founder Changpeng Zhao of misusing customer funds, improperly operating in the US, and other charges. [[Reuters / Jonathan Stempel](] The SEC is cracking down on the cryptocurrency industry after the sudden collapse of the FTX exchange in 2022 led to fraud and other charges against its disgraced founder Sam Bankman-Fried. [[Guardian](] - Ukraine accused Russia of intentionally destroying the Kakhovka dam that supplies water for cities, agriculture, and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant.
