They’re also close to formally meeting with Joel Greenberg; the former Florida county tax collector is likely to strike a plea deal with the government this week. Hundreds of rockets fired by Hamas resulted in the deaths of 2 women in Southern Israel. IDF authorities responded with airstrikes that killed 28 people in Gaza, including 10 children. [[Associated Press / Fares Akram and Josef Federman](] - The rockets followed days of escalating anger and protest among Palestinians regarding Israeli control of the Al Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem; both Jews and Palestinians consider it a holy site. On Monday morning, police fired tear gas and rubber bullets at Muslim worshippers and protesters, who threw stones and chairs. For weeks, Palestinians had been protesting government plans to remove them from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in East Jerusalem.
