Hi {NAME}, it’s Coby, Will’s Campaign Manager. After an incredible Primary Day on Tuesday, we’re now at the beginning of the General Election, where we have just 242 days to defeat MAGA Republican Ken Calvert. For 30+ years, Ken Calvert and the status quo he represents in Washington have put their bottom-line ahead of our communities. Whether that was outing his opponent in the 90s, voting to decertify the election results in 2020, or just last year voting to defund LGBTQ+ community centers, time and time again Calvert has put his own interests and extreme agenda over the folks he was elected to represent. Never has it been so important to usher in a new generation of leadership in Congress. Not with so much at stake. I won’t lie, this is going to be a tough fight ahead. We’ve had attacks come left and right, and the truth is, they’re going to become even more frequent and more dishonest. But here’s why I’m hopeful: this past primary I saw first hand what this team can do. We shattered California fundraising records, knocked on over 3,500 doors, made over 50,000 phone calls, and built a grassroots movement. Our work is only just beginning though, {NAME}. We now have to hit the ground running as we look on to the General Election. CA-41 could determine the majority and we’re going to need serious financial support if we want to win this seat.
