This is no way to run a country

What the GOP is doing right now is utterly insane. {NAME} – We’ve been warning for weeks that we may be headed for another shutdown, and guess what? The threat is not over.  Here’s the latest.  After taking a two week vacation in the middle of February, Mike Johnson reconvened the House just two days before the next deadline to avoid a shutdown and...punted once again.  This time, instead of the six-week extension we’ve become accustomed to, they managed to delay shutting down the government by ONE WHOLE WEEK. This week’s continuing resolution pushed those deadlines back and bought them a whole extra week.  While Republicans are playing pass-the-buck with their single most important constitutional duty, MILLIONS of federal employees are left hanging in the balance, wondering if they’re about to get stuck without a paycheck.  That includes active duty troops. TSA agents, federal court clerks, and a host of civil service jobs – including more than 12,500 right here in Arkansas.  House Republicans refuse to do the jobs they were hired (elected) to do, and that includes the four men representing Arkansas.
