{NAME},  Amber Thurman's last words are haunting and heartbreaking: "Promise me you'll take care of my son." [A screenshot of a ProPublica headline that says, “Abortion Bans Have Delayed Emergency Medical Care. In Georgia, Experts Say This Mother’s Death Was Preventable.”]( Amber, a 28-year-old medical assistant from Georgia, died needlessly after being denied a life-saving abortion, leaving behind a 6-year-old son. For 20 excruciating hours, doctors delayed treatment as sepsis ravaged her body. They feared prosecution under Georgia's restrictive abortion ban.  Kamala Harris responded to her death, saying, “This young mother should be alive, raising her son, and pursuing her dream of attending nursing school...women are dying. These are the consequences of Donald Trump’s actions.” [A screenshot of an Associated Press article that says, “VP says woman’s death after delayed abortion treatment shows consequences of Trump's actions.]( Vice President Harris is right.  From Donald Trump's Supreme Court to Governor Brian Kemp and MAGA Republicans nationwide, they are complicit in stripping away reproductive rights, and the blood of women like Amber Thurman is on their hands.  Here in Arkansas, we face even harsher restrictions than Georgia’s 6-week ban. Abortion is completely outlawed from the moment of conception except to save the mother's life in a medical emergency – and as we've seen, hospitals have and will continue to delay care until medical conditions become life threatening for fear of criminal prosecution.  The impact on Arkansas women is severe. Clinics have closed. Maternal mortality rates are skyrocketing. Low-income women and women of color suffer most. And if Republicans in Congress get their way, they will impose a national abortion ban.  We don't have to accept this cruel reality. At Vortex PAC, we're fighting to flip all four of Arkansas' House seats from MAGA Republican control to pro-choice Democrats. And when we have a new majority in Congress, we can pass federal protections for reproductive rights. THAT is what women deserve, not the dystopian nightmare we’re living through right now.  [But we need your help. Your donation of $25, $50, $75, $100, or whatever you can afford today will fund our efforts to educate voters, support our pro-choice candidates, and mobilize Arkansans to the polls in the run up to Election Day. Together, we can prevent more senseless deaths like Amber's.](  We owe it to Amber, her son, the women of Georgia, the women of Arkansas, and every American to stand up and take action. Donate today to help us secure a future where no woman is denied life-saving healthcare.  Thank you,  Jennifer Browne for Team Vortex [Support Vortex PAC](      Vortex PAC is a new grassroots movement to transform Arkansas politics away from the far-right. We are recruiting, training, and supporting Democratic candidates to flip all four of Arkansas’ U.S. congressional districts and help win back the House majority in 2024.
