Arkansas Republicans don't trust you to decide on abortion; they want to ban it entirely

{NAME},  Trump was celebrating “leaving it to the states” on reproductive rights during last night’s debate. They don’t want to let voters decide.  And now, in Arkansas, they’re openly saying so.  A spot-on opinion piece in The Washington Post exposes how Arkansas officials twisted the law to keep an abortion rights initiative off the November ballot - even after organizers collected over 101,000 signatures from voters. [This is a screenshot of a Washington Post article with the headline: ]( This proves what we've long suspected: The "states' rights" argument on abortion is a lie. Republicans know that when abortion rights are put directly to voters, they lose. So they're rigging the system to silence your voice.  Arkansas already has one of the strictest abortion bans in the nation, with no exceptions for rape, incest, and narrow, unworkable “exceptions” to allegedly save the life of the mother. Now, state leaders are going to extreme lengths to prevent you from weighing in.  We can't leave fundamental human rights up to partisan state officials. Arkansas women deserve better than being forced to become fugitives just to access basic healthcare.  The solution is clear: We need a federal law establishing the right to abortion care.
