J.D. Vance once called Trump 'America’s Hitler’ before bending the knee. {NAME}, Today, J.D. Vance takes the stage at the Republican National Convention as Donald Trump's chosen running mate. Allow me to reintroduce you to the newest star at the center of Trump's political circus. Don't be fooled by his polished veneer; he's a dangerous one. J.D. Vance is a first-term senator from Ohio, author of "Hillbilly Elegy," and – if I can be blunt – an opportunistic political chameleon with a dangerous agenda.  Just a few years ago, Vance was calling Trump "reprehensible," an "idiot," and comparing him to Hitler. Now he's Trump's hand-picked VP candidate, ready to enable Trump's worst impulses. [An Image of J.D. Vance with a stern look on his face, raising his hand. Vance is wearing a white checked shirt and gray suit coat.]( Why did Trump need a new VP anyway?  Oh, right, because his last one refused to illegally overturn his election loss and Trump's supporters threatened to hang him. (Worth noting that Pence won't even endorse Trump, now.) [Image and reporting from The Guardian. A noose hangs from a makeshift gallows with the US Capitol building visible in the background, taken during the January 6th insurrection. Image Andrew Caballero-Reynolds. The text overlay reads: ]( J.D. Vance has already proven he has no such encumbrances. In his quest for power, he's abandoned every principle he once claimed to hold.  Vance is cut from the same cloth as Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Tom Cotton – the VP hopefuls here in Arkansas that Trump passed over. He's another ambitious extremist defined by his willingness to say or do anything to please Trump.  Vance isn't just a yes-man; he's even further to the right on some issues than Trump.  He supports a national abortion ban that's more extreme than Trump's position, and he'll eagerly rubber-stamp every other awful idea Trump has, from undermining our democracy to rolling back civil rights. THAT is the morally bankrupt sycophant Trump wants to be one heartbeat away from the presidency – and lording over a potentially 50-50 Senate split.  This is why our work at Vortex is so critical. We're building the infrastructure to flip all four of Arkansas' congressional seats from red to blue. Then we start work to defeat Tom Cotton.  [Can you chip in $25, $50, $75, $100, or whatever you can afford today to help us ramp up our organizing efforts across Arkansas? Every dollar helps us reach more voters and build the momentum we need to win in November. With this potential threat in the White House, it is more crucial than ever that we flip these seats and continue our work at Vortex on an even larger scale – and we urgently need your financial support to do it.]( [FLIP ARKANSAS BLUE >>]( We’re in this for the long haul, and we’ll stay in as long as it takes to flip Arkansas and send these extremists packing.  Together, we can show Trump, Vance, and the entire MAGA movement that their brand of cynical, selfish, extremist politics has no place in Arkansas or anywhere else.  Let’s go!  Robb  P.S. Vance once asked if Trump could be "America's Hitler." With your help, we'll make sure neither of them ever gets the chance to find out.
