Republicans keep lying about the border. We’re here to find the truth. Hey {NAME},  Robb and Rodney, here. We’re writing to you today from the U.S.-Mexico border.  Republicans keep lying about our southern border, so we’ve come to Arizona to get the real story on a trip organized by our friends at Vote Common Good, joining community leaders, other candidates for Congress, and activists. [A photo of participants on the Border Experience organized by Vote Common Good, standing in front of the VCG tour bus. Robb and Rodney are seen in the middle of the crowd.]( Throughout our time here, we’re meeting with people who live and work in the communities impacted by our nation’s border policies. We’re staying in migrant centers across the border in Mexico, and putting eyes on the border wall itself.  In our meetings with local leaders, residents, and even a former border patrol agent, we’ve learned how the hardening of our border hasn’t solved any problems – in fact it’s created new problems.  Far-right Republicans like Rodney’s opponent Rick Crawford continue to drum up hysteria and spread lies about the border because they have nothing else to run on. They DON’T want you to hear how the construction of the border wall has hurt communities here. Their plan to win depends on making us fearful and distrustful of our neighbors.  Rodney has a better plan, one that you can help set in motion when we flip this seat in November and send Crawford packing. Will you make a direct donation to Rodney’s campaign today? [Donate to Rodney]( [A compilation of two photos of Rodney Govens sitting with a family of asylum seekers from Bolivia. The family includes a young child around age 9 or 10.]( Rodney meeting with a family of asylum seekers from Bolivia. We came to the border to bring you the TRUTH.  The truth is that the only emergency at the border is the humanitarian crisis caused by Republicans like Rick Crawford starving federal agencies of the funds and resources they need to do their jobs. [A compilation of 5 photos. Pictured left to right, top to bottom: 1) Rodney Govens speaks with a Mexican priest who serves migrant communities. 2) Rodney and other participants gather close to the border wall, lined with multiple layers of barbed wire. The wall is a metal slatted fence that is rusted, tall, and ugly. 3) Participants gather in a loose crowd around an organizer who is leading a tour to the border. 4) The back of a building with the impressions of the border fence disrupting a mural featuring flowers, a bee, and the word Life. 5) Robb takes a photo showing the length of the wall and the long desert road stretching alongside it as the Sun casts a long shadow in front of him.]( The GOP’s unabashed lies have to be challenged. We look forward to bringing the knowledge gained from this trip back to Arkansas to mobilize voters in all 75 counties around real policy solutions.  [Your contributions to Vortex pay for that outreach and also help our small, dedicated team recruit and train volunteers to turn out votes for ALL of our Vortex candidates this November.](  Let’s go!  Robb & Rodney [Support Vortex PAC >>](      Vortex PAC is a new grassroots movement to transform Arkansas politics away from the far-right.
