(No, I’m not talking about baseball.) {NAME} – Sometimes people ask me why we’re doing this.  “Why bother trying to build up democratic organizing power in a “red state” like Arkansas?”  To quote a classic: [An animated gif of a video clip from the 1989 movie Field of Dreams, showing actor Kevin Costner portraying the farmer named Ray Kinsella as he walks through a cornfield reacting to a whispered voice that tells him, “If you build it, they will come.”]( We started Vortex to grow Democratic organizing power in Arkansas. In just over one year we’ve recruited four bold Democrats, launched a candidate training program, helped them build their teams, and made EVERY congressional seat competitive.  Now it’s time to recruit and train the volunteers that will take our candidates to victory. And the more votes we turn out for our candidates, the more we can boost Democrats up and down the ballot.  Your contributions today go towards developing the training and the organizing infrastructure we need for sustainable, democratic organizing in this state.  We’re only $3,873 short of our mid-month fundraising goal, and the scope of our volunteer program depends on hitting that goal. Can you pitch in today to help us close the gap? If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [  Express Donate: $25  Â]( [  Express Donate: $50  Â]( [  Express Donate: $100 Â]( [  Express Donate: $250 Â]( [  Express Donate: $500 Â]( [  Donate Other Amount: Â]( Arkansas, like every so-called red state, has been forced into a far-right political regime by systematic voter suppression, gerrymandering, and political manipulation that leaves people feeling hopeless.  But there IS a way out, and it starts by activating every voter to show up for candidates who look like them, who share their experiences, and who represent the issues they care about.  We DID build it. We ARE building it. And the votes WILL come.  Robb [Support Vortex PAC >>](      Vortex PAC is a new grassroots movement to transform Arkansas politics away from the far-right. We are recruiting, training, and supporting Democratic candidates to flip all four of Arkansas’ U.S. congressional districts and help win back the House majority in 2024.
