Yes we can: How Democrats flipped a seat in Deep Red Alabama

When I’m out on the road for Vortex, one question always comes up.  “Dr. Jones, can we REALLY flip Arkansas?”  I’m here to tell you {NAME} – yes, we absolutely can.  If you missed the headlines earlier this week in Alabama, Democrat Marilyn Lands staked her campaign on a solid reproductive rights platform in the special election for Alabama House District 10.  On the heels of their state’s Supreme Court’s ruling on IVF, and a brutal abortion ban that went into effect after the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Lands, a mother and licensed mental health counselor decided enough was enough.  Lands stood up for women and families and flipped a seat Republicans held for 17 years.  I see the same thing every day on the road here in Arkansas. Voters have absolutely had it with an increasingly extremist GOP that claims to be the party of personal freedom while taking YOUR freedoms away.   Republicans continue to overplay their hand, expecting voters to stand by while they steadily rob us of our rights and seize more power and control over people’s lives.  But everyday Americans are standing up to represent their communities, and Vortex was built for this moment.
