This is a must watch. {NAME} – Last week, Arizona State Senator Eva Burch rose to speak to her fellow state legislators with a surprising revelation.  She was, at that moment, pregnant. And she was choosing to have an abortion.  Senator Burch courageously shared her long, painful journey with infertility, and the numerous miscarriages she’s had over the years. She talked about the times she had to seek an abortion to terminate a nonviable pregnancy in the past, and how that experience has changed under new Arizona law.  Specifically, she talked about how Arizona lawmakers are hurting patients like her by forcing them to undergo invasive medical procedures and listen to state-mandated disinformation just to exercise their freedom to make medical decisions about their own bodies. [An animated gif of a video clip of Arizona State Senator Eva Burch speaking about her experience seeking an abortion under new Arizona law.]( {NAME}, when the Supreme Court tossed out Roe v Wade in 2022 they did so on the premise that the abortion question should be decided by individual states.  Eva Burch’s heart-wrenching testimony is proof enough of why this can never work when it comes to protecting basic civil liberties like making your own healthcare decisions that are right for you and your family. But if that wasn’t enough to convince you that this argument is a scam on its face, consider two things:  Republicans in Congress, as we speak, are plotting to impose a national abortion ban through a bill that would also effectively shut down IVF nationwide.  At the same time, tomorrow morning, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the mifepristone case – which has the potential to restrict or even ban one of the two medications used in medical abortions and in the treatment of miscarriages and other reproductive conditions.  The trend is clear: Republicans are coming for reproductive freedom in EVERY state. Not just in red states like Arkansas, but nationwide.  [Our Vortex candidates will steadfastly defend reproductive rights nationwide. She speaks from her experience as a nurse practitioner, as an Arizona State Senator, and most importantly, as a patient who has had to endure the cruel and callous restrictions imposed on her by her fellow lawmakers.  She ended her speech by recognizing the countless Arizona women who have been impacted by these laws.  “I stand with those who have had to grapple with and navigate Arizona’s restrictive laws surrounding abortion. I am with them. I appreciate them. I am them.”  This is a pointed reminder that the impact of these laws are not felt in philosophical discussions around the dinner table. These are life and death decisions being cast into state law, and they are hurting our friends, our family members, and our neighbors.  I strongly recommend you watch the entire video available from PBS [here](.  [And please give generously to help Vortex elect representatives who will defend reproductive rights unequivocally.](  Thank you,  Robb [Support Vortex PAC >>](      Vortex PAC is a new grassroots movement to transform Arkansas politics away from the far-right.
