Research clearly shows that visibility leads to acceptance. NEW SURVEY FROM GLAAD: 91% of non-LGBTQ+

Research clearly shows that visibility leads to acceptance. [LGBTQ+ Victory Institute logo]( NEW SURVEY FROM GLAAD: 91% of non-LGBTQ+ Americans believe LGBTQ+ people should not be discriminated against. 84% support equality! Americans want to see pro-equality legislation pass - now we have to train the candidates who will fight for our rights. Pitch in today to help Victory Institute train more LGBTQ+ candidates and take back our government! [DONATE]( Friend: The good news is true: a recent survey conducted by GLAAD shows that acceptance for LGBTQ+ rights is at an all-time high. An overwhelming majority of non-LGBTQ+ Americans believe that LGBTQ+ people deserve equal rights and to be free from discrimination. That may be surprising to hear, given the overwhelming number of anti-LGBTQ bills were introduced this year. But this survey - and other polls we've seen - make it clear that the bigots passing discriminatory bills are part of a loud minority, hell-bent on legalizing discrimination and wasting taxpayers' money. We have to take back our government from the bigots - and keep training LGBTQ+ leaders! [That's why for Give Out Day - the only national day of giving for the LGBTQ+ community - we're going to raise $10,000 to expand our Candidate & Campaign Trainings and Leadership Summits. We need more LGBTQ+ people in public office to pass pro-equality legislation and dismantle stigma. Pitch in before Wednesday to help us hit this essential goal!]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Express Donate: $5]( [Express Donate: $15]( [Express Donate: $35]( [Or, donate another amount]( Look, research clearly shows that visibility leads to acceptance. Polling tells us that voters (of every party!) who live in Danica Roem's district had a more positive view of trans people because Danica was in office. These candidates can literally change hearts and minds by running. And when they're elected? They can do even more good. Not only will they be powerful voices for equality in the chambers in which they serve, but they'll show countless others that LGBTQ+ political power is possible. Think of how many LGBTQ+ kids have seen U.S. Senator Tammy {NAME} speak about the Equality Act. Or have seen our pro-equality U.S. Congress Members pushing for LGBTQ+-inclusive mental health services. Think of the kids that watch as LGBTQ+ school board members defend their classmates or ensure their libraries have LGBTQ+ books. Representation isn't just a buzzword - it has a tangible impact. That's why we must get more LGBTQ+ people into office. [And it starts with training them to run. So please, make a special Give Out Day donation now to train the next rainbow wave of LGBTQ+ leaders to win!]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Express Donate: $5]( [Express Donate: $15]( [Express Donate: $35]( [Or, donate another amount]( Thank you for supporting our work, Elliot Imse Pronouns: he|him|his Executive Director, LGBTQ+ Victory Institute [DONATE]( LGBTQ+ Victory Institute is a global organization dedicated to elevating out LGBTQ+ leaders who can further equality at all levels of government.
