They want us to be silenced. Our elected officials refuse. Friend: Horrific anti-trans and anti-LGBT

They want us to be silenced. Our elected officials refuse. [LGBTQ Victory Fund logo]( Friend: Horrific anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ bills are moving forward in state legislatures across the country. The Virginia House voted for two anti-trans bills (one of which would force teachers to out trans kids). In Montana, a bill would allow medical staff to refuse care to LGBTQ patients. And that's just yesterday! Today, anti-LGBTQ bills banning drag shows, banning gender-affirming care, bills labeling LGBTQ services "child abuse" and more are marching forward. But don't lose hope just yet. In Virginia and Montana, LGBTQ elected officials are fighting back. [Watch Virginia Delegate Danica Roem - the first out and seated trans person elected in the U.S. - and state Representative Zooey Zephyr - the first out trans person elected to the Montana legislature speak out against the bills in their states here.]( Zooey and Danica are the perfect examples of why LGBTQ representation really matters. And of why we absolutely must keep electing LGBTQ leaders to fight back. [Pitch in here to support more amazing candidates like Danica (who's running for the state Senate this year!), Zooey and more!]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Express Donate: $5]( [Express Donate: $10]( [Express Donate: $25]( [Or, donate another amount]( Here's the reality: these bigots think bills like these will bully trans people back into the closet. They want trans people to be invisible and they want all LGBTQ people to be silenced. But our elected officials and candidates stand up to them every day, proving time and again their bigotry won't go unchallenged. Danica, Zooey and other LGBTQ candidates in Arkansas, Arizona, South Dakota and more are standing up for what's right - they're standing up for us. [We have to send them reinforcements and ensure we protect pro-equality candidates in 2023. Pitch in today to help them win!]( Thanks for standing with us, LGBTQ Victory Fund [DONATE]( Paid for by LGBTQ Victory Fund.
