Though Kissinger was a “titanic figure on the world stage,” he was, in later years, “dogged by accusations of war crimes.” Elsewhere, Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley is [raking in backers]( with deep pockets. A super PAC founded by entrepreneurs including George W. Bush’s cousin, Jonathan Bush, and a billionaire scientific research executive hopes to sway independents toward Haley, particularly in New Hampshire. Meanwhile, Americans for Prosperity Action, a Koch auxiliary force, has said Haley “offers the best opportunity to improve the lives of all Americans.” And, on Wednesday, JPMorgan chief executive Jamie Dimon urged even liberal Democrats to support her as the anti–Donald Trump candidate.
