A Tribute to Joe Lieberman • Inside Guantánamo Bay • Trump’s Very Bad Tariff Plan [View in your browser]( | [Update your preferences](newsletter=vf) [Vanity Fair Hive logo image]( Donald Trump’s Truth Social Is a Meme Stock Good morning from the Hive newsroom. Have we mentioned how weird it is out there? Well, it’s getting weirder—Donald Trump’s social media platform is apparently now a meme stock. On Inside the Hive [this week](, reporter Scott Nover tells Brian Stelter that the exorbitant valuation of Trump Media “doesn’t really make any sort of sense in the business context.” Some Trump stans are apparently buying up shares like they would MAGA hats (as we said, it’s a weird year), but Nover warns that no financial adviser would recommend that you buy a share of stock as a keepsake. Trump would probably rather have the political donation to pay his legal fees anyway. In other news, former senator Joseph Lieberman passed away on Wednesday, and Mark McKinnon [pays homage]( to the radical centrist: “It seems that we are living in a time when literally everything we think about politics is bad. As we think about Joe Lieberman this week, let’s remember the good. My friend, I firmly believe, was a human road map of decency.” Plus, Charlotte Klein [talks with]( Serial cohosts Sarah Koenig and Dana Chivvis about season four of the groundbreaking podcast. The new installment tells the story of Guantánamo Bay through personal stories, bringing years of reporting to fruition and providing an inside look at the prison camp. Thanks for reading.
