Here's how I made my first $1,000,000. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ?

Here's how I made my first $1,000,000. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌   Hey {NAME}, Lately I have been thinking A LOT about what it truly takes to scale a business, as I have been going through a lot of growing pains myself lately behind the scenes (I'll share my learnings here in a separate newsletter down the line!) As I reflect on the different areas that a business requires to focus on to get to the next level, it inspired me to write this email to you to outline the Top 3 things I did that helped me reach my first million. Regardless if you are starting from zero OR you've already hit a million, I think this week's newsletter will still serve you. Ready? Let's dive in!  👉 Lesson #1: If you can't do the small things, you won't be able to do the big things. ... If you struggle to get 1 person results, you won't be able to get a group of people results. ... If you can't stay consistent on Instagram, you definitely won't be able to stay consistent on Youtube. ... If you struggle to sell your 1:1 offer to 10 people, you won't be able to sell a course to 100 people. ... If you can't manage your first part-time Virtual Assistant, you won't be able to manage a full-time team. ... If you can't handle the problems at your current level, you won't be able to handle the problems at the next level. So many new entrepreneurs think that a new business model, a new social media platform, hiring a team, or making more money will solve their lack of results. What they don't realize is that the foundations matter. What I learned overtime (and still continuously learn) is that playing a bigger game won't solve your problems if your foundations are not there. If anything, playing a bigger game only amplifies your problems even more. Remember: If you can't do the small things, you won't survive the big things. 👉 Lesson #2: One product, one avatar, one channel. A Youtube channel that I have been watching a lot lately is Leila Hormozi's. I watched [one of her videos here]( the roadmap to making $50M, and one thing that she mentioned validated what I have been preaching for so long. If your goal is to go from $0 - $1M, your focus should be to master: >> One Product >> One Avatar >> One Channel (OR one funnel or one social media platform.) With the goal of: Being able to consistently sell something people actually want. See chart here: THIS is exactly how I scaled my business quickly from zero to multiple millions in 2 short years. I sold a 1:1 coaching program to validate my strategies, my niche, and my ideal client first. From there, I packaged my teachings into[The BOSSGRAM Academy.]( There is a reason why up until this point I only have one program. Early on I knew the important principal of mastering something and developing product market fit. As a result, BGA has not only made almost 7 million dollars in revenue to date... But it has also served over 6,000 clients with nearly 3 million of tracked revenue wins for our students. The same philosophy that Leila shares is what we teach inside BGA. It's exactly why we encourage our clients to start with 1:1 to determine product market fit before they decide to scale up to group programs or courses. (^ Remember my advice from Lesson #1? The foundations matter. If you can't get results for 1 person, you won't be able to get results for 100.) By the way, if you are someone who is starting out with no validated offer yet and you want me to help you sign paid clients using social media... [Click here to enroll]( in The BOSSGRAM Academy. We close our doors this Thursday on April 7, so check out the program soon and see if it's the right fit for you! 👉 Lesson #3: The less time in business you've been in, the more narrow your focus needs to be. This is a direct lesson I pulled from 9-Figure Entreoreneur, Robert Herjavec, when I was watching Shark Tank. It was the advice he was giving to a new startup that was trying to appeal to everyone and sell multiple different products at one time. This advice rings true, but it can be difficult to apply in real life especially if you are also a social media content creator. This is why in the [LIVE trainings]( I've been doing this past week, I share an hourglass model of what the true "niching" journey looks like for people who are in our industry (aka content creators who aspire to sign clients). My Hourglass Niching Framework looks like this: I explain that in the beginning, it's OK to be broad so long as you know your target audience. As you experiment with content and offers within the target audience, with some time and experience, you'll eventually know which niche to narrow down to. Once a niche is narrowed down, this is when most creators and new business owners start making money. Because regardless of what people tell you, you must have a clear niche in order to create a specific product or service. Eventually you'll start to develop a stronger personal brand, in which case you have the freedom to "Niche Up". At that point you've hit what I like to call "public figure" status, where you could literally talk about anything and people will still want to buy from you.  Now if you want to learn more about this Hourglass Framework and more lessons about establishing market fit, I'm going LIVE one more time today at 5pm PST. [Click here to register for the last LIVE training I'm doing.]( Even if you've already attended the last ones we've done - feel free to join us once more for a refresher of the material LIVE! 😉 Anyways {NAME}, I hope this email was helpful to you as I walked down memory lane dissecting on the 3 principals I followed that helped me make my first million as a first-time entrepreneur. If there's anything that you can take away from this email, is that leveling up in business isn't about doing a lot of BIG things. In fact, it's usually about doing a lot of small things extremely well. That said, if there's anything that resonated with you this week, feel free to let me know by sharing your favourite section of this email to your IG stories and tagging me @vanessalau.co. I appreciate you opening yet another one of my Content Creator to CEO newsletters, and I can't wait to write to you again!
