We have just received word that 24 military personnel were wounded in these attacks. Although most of these injuries were minor and the injured service members have all returned to active duty, there have been a few reports of traumatic brain injuries. This is an alarming reminder of the danger our troops face day in and day out to defend our freedom. Now, with no end to the Israel-Hamas war in sight, the Air Force has deployed an additional squadron to the region, putting even more airmen in harm’s way. While this community came together to support our troops in a great way, the need for support has grown even larger as our service members deploy to the Middle East. [The good news is that the match opportunity from our generous group of donors is being EXTENDED so the USO can keep supporting the U.S military around the globe.](* [Please, rush $29 or more right now to have it doubled for our troops in the Middle East and around the world.]( [MATCH MY GIFT NOW]( [Service members taking supplies out of a USO box]( Thank you for all you do to help the USO support our courageous service members — especially now. Sincerely, Alan Reyes Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy (Retired) Chief Operating Officer, USO --------------------------------------------------------------- From: Emergency Response via USO Sent: Monday, Oct ober 23, 2 023 Subject: BREAKING: Drones target U.S. military bases in Iraq & Syria [MATCH MY GIFT](CA/UFh5eVFkWWY4OXczOGJSaTVRYm1yVXpLK0xkak40S0VDZHZ6bHRLYXlvbmpTcCt0UlBQMjFkT3FIc2VLYWR5SVJ5dnZRRkI5YnJWOWRhb2ZxN3NMN09PdFJCOHlGdnYzM3lybzhqRnZTQnM9S0/K1Z5WmRVR015RXdEUjRaVlB6TE45MEtTVlYwRHJDSGtSaFYyTU11NU5BY0pjekYwd0FkdDhlb0tJNjJ6S2NTemp0VjBZUktibVhhdTQvTTYzQ2Qyc3p3Y090bEpRNFV2S0) [Service members preparing for action]( ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ [All gifts MATCHED , up to $50,000 , to support troops in the Middle East and around the world]( [RUSH AN EMERGENCY GIFT]( Alan, the Israel-Hamas war has continued to create danger and instability throughout the Middle East. As our troops stand ready to support our allies and defend democracy, the USO is committed to doing whatever we can to support them. And although U.S. troops are not actively engaged in combat at this time, reports have emerged of drone strikes on U.S. military bases in Iraq and Syria. That’s why this news is so critical: A generous group of donors is MATCHING all gifts, up to a total of $50,000, until midnight tonight*. [That means the value of your gift will go TWICE AS FAR for service members in the Middle East and around the world who are risking their lives to defend our freedom. But we rely on the generous support of patriotic Americans like you to carry out this vital work, and we need you more than ever right now.
