A special update for patriotic supporters Supporting our troops through every step of their military

A special update for patriotic supporters [DONATE NOW]( [DAY 1 TO DISCHARGE](q4T4/WXFhcGhTdzIwc0UydXVUYk1ib3BiOXM2U2ZpKytaUjAwNWJSQVQ2Nkg4dG5pVm1xMTJ4ZlF6RkNvQzN1Qk9Peko3aGJFejFpbmxSZmgwYk16MVFsMm9XVHFzS3ZpV3FLNTZKaXFXMjFxQXM9S0/QndRZmFudEhjNE9ZQU8xUGlEakJCUkxucU43M2RNQmlrazAwa2dPWDhYST0S1) Supporting our troops through every step of their military journey 1941 Recognizing the need for an official organization dedicated to supporting America’s troops, President Franklin D. Roosevelt brought several associations together to form the United Service Organizations Inc. or USO. The USO would go on to play an integral role in boosting troops’ morale throughout World War II and has continued to do so and in times of peace and conflict since. From the moment their military journey begins, throughout each of their assignments and deployments, and as they transition back to civilian life, the USO is always by their side. One service member recorded his impression of a USO show on Utah Beach, roughly a month after the D-Day invasion: “[The performers] put on a mammoth show … for the boys who have been operating on that beach since D-Day. These are men who have been living in foxholes for 48 days. They certainly needed that show. This is the very first entertainment of any kind they have had. Some walked two and three miles through sand to see it.” The USO continuously adapts to the needs of our service members and their families. We operate more than 275 USO locations and offer USO services across seven continents. USO centers were visited 3.7 million times last year, and USO provided 9 million worldwide service connections in 2021 alone. Our programs fall under four pillars: Unite, deliver, entertain and transition, which together provide holistic support for our heroes throughout their service. We’ve come a long way in the last 80 years, and we are so grateful to this patriotic community for standing shoulder to shoulder with us and our service members every step of the way. We’ll be sharing more about each of the pillars that make up our work in the coming weeks so supporters like you can learn more about the part each one plays in strengthening our service members. The USO is a nonprofit organization, which means that from day one to discharge, everything we do to support America’s service members and their families is made possible by patriotic Americans like you. [Please, will you make a donation today to help ensure we can continue supporting our troops for generations to come?]( United Service Organizations, Inc.
